IT IS FUCKING CRAZY it feels like it was really made in early 2000 or sooner, i havent played much because i get scared but its supe cool, as i say it actually feels like a ps1 game, not because of the low poly aestethic but for the way it is built, amazing work
I dont know why you put in so much effort for such a short game but its better then the main game somehow and i love it if you could possible make this the full game and make it cost the same price and someway give the money to electronic arts then do it
I cannot get over how good this was! It played so well and looked amazing, I would so enjoy the entire game in this charming PSX style. Necromorphs have always freaked me out more than anything else and now I know they are absolutely horrifying in any graphical style thanks to you.
You are incredibly talented and I am looking forward to seeing whatever you make next. Thank you for taking the time to create this!
A reinvention of the aforementioned game, if it was created in 1999. Brumley managed to capture the same creepiness and vibe of the original, even while relaying on the limitations of the PS1 era. Short, creepy, and intense, an absolute recommendation of a game.

I'll start saying that for a reimagine PS1 version of Dead Space, you did an amazing job! I tried to play it before, and it had some controllers bugs, and then they were fixed. There are still some bugs here in there, that can take you out of the experience. I fell of the map, and got unable to reload at some point. It can get frustrating. But once you pass those bugs, the game is quite enjoyable =) Good Job!
This is incredible! I had a smile on my face the entire time. The graphics set the mood exactly as they need to, the workarounds for cutscenes is brilliant. Even got a spook out of me with a necro jumpscare. Runs smoother than my '08 install.
I'd love to support a more ambitious project, whether that's a larger demake (DS Mobile, anyone?) or a new idea!
Wow, that is impressive! Really captured the feel of it. Might I suggest you take the engine for this and create a new adventure? Just thinking quite a few of these fan projects get shutdown and I would hate to see something so well done dissappear.
Honestly, I thought that the game would be short, but as it turned out, I was wrong. Nice recreation of the game from modern graphics to PS1 time graphics. I was even scared of Necromorphs. If there is a remake, then why not make a demake
Im a huge fan of dead space so i had to play this. Game felt fantastic and stayed true to the OG, but also felt like it's own thing. Really well done !
I made a video on the game if you're interested :)
I just got done playing Dead Space (2008) for the first time (wanted to play it before the remake), and HOLY CRAP this was so faithful to the original!
I quickly slipped into the rhythm and patterns I developed playing through Dead Space, and this game just felt RIGHT.
Movement felt right, shooting felt right... enemies, doors, Kinesis... you nailed it.
I am nothing short of amazed with what you were able to do with this. lol I mention in the vid multiple times, but I'd play through a full game version if it was ever made available. Absolutely amazing job. The sound design, lighting, combat, and world building all screamed Dead Space and yet somehow it all added up to something new and terrifying. Looking forward to your next project! :D

Fantastic. Very nicely done.
Dead Space- Ps1 Demake
probably the best Demake I tried
Uff awesome Dead Space Demake, is like playing the Dead Space Remake but very low graphics XDD
This was awesome! Thank you for making it. Dead Space is one of my all-time favorites and I'm in love with your PSX art here. Brilliant stuff!

No way, do not feed EA any more money than they already have!

Everything is extremely dark, I cant see anything
Amazing Game,Good Job
This game looks amazing! I loved the older style vibe it gave off and wish it was a bit longer!
DOES work on Steam Deck, ONLY if you edit the launch options to "Force the use of a specific Compatability tool" and set it to "Proton: Experimental."
Also has an installer that needs to be run the first time playing

question: is this literally the whole game remade in ps1? if so cool man you should have some sort of payment that must have taken forever
haha nah only the first little bit of the game.
It's go blackout after I get into the control station of the internal train of the Ishimura...how can I fix it?
